Privacy at Opdrops

Effective 5 October 2026

Opdrops is operated by Matayo Ayegun-Watson trading as Opdrops. For privacy questions, access or correction requests, deletion enquiries or complaints, contact matayo@opdrops.com.

This section covers our website, hosted interest/contact forms, direct enquiries and related follow-up records. App accounts, reservation records and store-dashboard use are a separate scope. Joining an interest list does not create an app account, a testing invitation or an agreement to join a store pilot.

Information you provide and why

For the current store-interest form, we ask for your name, email, store/business name and suburb or town. Store description, website or Instagram address and notes are optional. We use this information to understand and respond to your enquiry and manage the relevant business conversation.

The older form titled “Register your store's interest” also requires store type and a website or Instagram link. Its notes and intro-chat choice are optional. These details are used for the store enquiry and related follow-up; the intro-chat choice is not an app-update subscription.

For app updates, we ask for your email and the areas where you would like to shop; “Not sure yet” is acceptable. Phone platform is optional. We use this information for the app-availability and coverage updates you request and to understand interest in different areas. Permission to contact you about early testing is separate and optional.

For general contact, we ask for your name, email and reason for contacting us. Organisation/role and a message are optional. We use the information to respond to that reason, including support, feedback or a proposed introduction. Please do not include another person's private details unless you are entitled to share them. An introduction can begin without their contact details.

We also keep relevant correspondence, follow-up notes, submission references, and permission or withdrawal records. Information can come from you directly or an authorised introduction. Relevant public business information and contact information may be used to understand a store’s business model, stated needs and possible fit for a pilot conversation. We distinguish source facts from our assessments. Public availability does not itself authorise unrelated marketing or unrestricted use of information about a person.

You can browse without submitting a form. Without the required form information, that form cannot be submitted; you can contact us by email instead, although we may need enough information to answer your request. Optional fields may be left blank. These fields are requested for the purposes explained here, not because you have a legal duty to provide them.

Website visits and technical information

Vercel hosts the website. Website requests involve technical information such as IP address, browser/device information, request details and service logs used to deliver and protect the site. Embedded forms also connect your browser to Tally. Not submitting a form does not mean that hosting or form providers receive no technical information.

This website release does not use a separate audience-analytics service. Hosting and form providers still process the technical information described above.

Our Tally forms can save unfinished answers in your browser so you can return to them. This is separate from submitting a response to Opdrops. Tally's owner-visible partial-submission feature is switched off on these forms. On a shared device, do not leave personal details in a saved draft. Browser-local storage is separate from copies held by Opdrops or its providers.

We do not ask for a street address or precise device location through these interest/contact forms. Keep passwords, payment details, private access tokens and unnecessary sensitive information out of messages and public links.

Providers, copies and overseas handling

Tally receives completed form responses. The current store-interest, app-update and general-contact forms are configured to notify Matayo by email, creating a separate email copy when delivered. The Opdrops contact mailbox uses Google Workspace/Gmail. Airtable is used for relevant business-relationship, permission and follow-up records; a relevant enquiry may be recorded there with its source and purpose.

The older “Register your store's interest” form has a direct connection that sends its mapped answers to the older Airtable store waitlist. That Airtable workflow is configured to generate notifications to Matayo's Opdrops and additional Proton Mail inboxes when its conditions are met. This is separate from Tally's own email notifications, which are off for the older form. A form receipt is not proof that every downstream notification or follow-up action completed.

These services can process information outside Australia. Tally describes European form-response storage and identifies Google Cloud in Belgium for hosting/storage and SendGrid in the United States for enabled form-notification emails. Vercel describes processing in the United States and other operating locations. Google Workspace operates across international facilities; the locations applicable to data depend on its service terms and any applicable account controls. Airtable describes United States storage as its default and regional options for eligible accounts. Proton describes its Mail servers as located in Switzerland, Germany or Norway. A local founder or an Australian company address does not mean all information is stored in Australia.

Provider information about overseas processing is available in Tally's data-processing information, Vercel's privacy notice, Google Workspace's service terms and subprocessor list, Airtable's data-residency information and Proton Mail's privacy policy, linked below. These descriptions are not a guarantee that each record is held only in one country. You can contact us about the handling relevant to your information.

AI-assisted store research and correspondence

Matayo uses ChatGPT, supplied by OpenAI, to assist with researching prospective store partners, assessing their business fit with Opdrops, and preparing relevant business correspondence. This may involve public business information and selected details from enquiries or previous conversations, including professional contact information where needed for the task.

Matayo checks the sources and reviews the output, and remains responsible for outreach and follow-up decisions. We use synthetic or de-identified information where it can meet the task and limit identifiable information to what is needed.

OpenAI processes the information included and describes processing in the United States and other service locations.

The ChatGPT account used for this work has its “Improve the model for everyone” setting switched off. This controls eligible new-conversation training under the provider’s rules; it does not delete stored conversations, files or other copies. We do not submit feedback on conversations containing enquiry information. The setting does not replace checks on whether information should be used or disclosed for a task.

We limit the information used to the task and use synthetic or genuinely de-identified material where that is sufficient. Before including further identifying details, we check the purpose, necessity and relevant privacy and provider requirements. We do not infer sensitive traits or private vulnerabilities for outreach. You can contact Matayo about AI-assisted handling of your enquiry, including asking that optional future analysis be handled without it. A new privacy notice does not, by itself, authorise unrelated reuse.

Matayo manages these records. Providers process information to supply the services described here. Information may also be given to an adviser helping with a specific issue, or disclosed where law requires or permits it. An introduction or disclosure beyond the original enquiry purpose is checked before it occurs. A store/general enquiry is not consent to send it to other stores or enrol you in app updates.

Retention, security and deletion enquiries

We keep information while it is reasonably needed for the enquiry, relationship, requested updates, separately requested testing contact, relevant support or legitimate recordkeeping. We review whether records are still needed when an enquiry or test closes, permission is withdrawn, and before a material change of use. We delete or de-identify information no longer needed, subject to applicable recordkeeping requirements.

Withdrawing permission stops the relevant future contact. We may retain a minimal suppression record to honour that choice. Withdrawal does not automatically erase every historical enquiry or cancel an app reservation. A request to stop all promotional contact applies to all relevant promotional purposes, not just one checkbox.

Deletion may require action in Tally, the Opdrops enquiry mailbox, relevant Proton Mail copies, Airtable, exports and other authorised copies, including selected material previously included in AI-assisted administration. Provider backups follow separate processes. Contact us to identify the records and understand what can be removed or must be retained. Deleting one form response does not instantly delete every copy, and deleting a response does not establish that a saved draft has been cleared from your browser.

We restrict access to what is needed, use appropriate account and provider security controls, and review access when roles or systems change. No online service can guarantee absolute security.

Your choices, requests and complaints

Store enquiries, general enquiries and support messages do not subscribe you to app updates. To stop promotional emails, use the unsubscribe method in the email or write to matayo@opdrops.com. You can ask to stop updates, testing contact or both. We will not require an account login or unnecessary extra information to unsubscribe. A general request to stop promotional emails will not be interpreted narrowly to keep another promotional sequence running. Necessary replies to support requests remain separate.

To ask about access, correction or deletion, or to make a privacy complaint, email Matayo. We may request proportionate information to identify the record and protect it from unauthorised access. We will consider your request, investigate a complaint and explain the outcome, any reason it cannot be fulfilled exactly as asked, and available next steps. Statutory rights are unaffected. Where the Australian Privacy Act applies and a complaint remains unresolved, you may be able to complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.

We will keep this page current when the operator or material practices change. A new policy does not itself create consent for an unrelated use. Changes of operator or purposes will be assessed before relying on the new arrangements.
